A Strange Ship In Port

Abby sits at her dining table, overlooking the sea. The waves roll gently onto the beach. A lovely afternoon. Her long curly auburn hair surrounds her olive-colored face. She picks up the silver pen in front of her and starts writing. A letter to a perfect stranger. Her thoughts drift away.

Two days ago, she strolled along the Marina where she spotted a large yacht. Unusual for the time of the year. She decided she wanted to have a closer look. When she walked on the entry board of the ship, she heard a low, sensual, male voice behind her.

"And who," he said, "are you?"

She turned around and was taken aback by the handsome man she saw. The sun brightened his beautiful blond hair, flashing into his magnetic green eyes. His entire presence impressed her. The masculinity, his aura. She never experienced such instant attraction before.

She tried to stay calm and smiled her most beautiful smile.

"They asked me to look at the ship," she lied.

"Because?" he asked with an intense look.

"Because it's the only strange ship in port." She felt uneasy and gazed at her gorgeous opponent. "And who are you?"

"Why should I tell you?" he teased her.

"Because I ask you nicely," she sulked.

Their eyes met and she felt the color appear on her cheeks.

"Hmm." He looked at her even more intensely now.

"Rob Brewer. I'm the owner of this suspicious vessel." He produced a radiating smile.

She could see his perfect white teeth. It took her breath away.

"Now that you've come this far," he continued, "let me show you around." He bowed and guided her on board. She couldn't believe her eyes.

The living quarters had soft sofa lounges, to seat lots of people, lush velvet carpets and curtains, and a bar. The wooden walls were satin varnished. The beds were king-size. The bathrooms had large baths and a steam room. It was a luxurious yacht, complete with a swim platform and exercise room.

During their walk, their arms touched. A warm glow went through her entire body. Her heart pounded. Would he notice?

Abby puts down her pen and looks at the paper before her. All she wrote was "Dear Rob." How can I explain to him how I yearn for him? How do I feel? My dream prince. He makes me feel helpless and breathless.

She gazes at the sea with her bright blue eyes, trying to find the answer somewhere among the waves. How she wanted to touch him, to smell him, and to see him right now. Does he feel the same way? There had been chemistry between them.

She walks towards the windows. A man on the beach walks towards her house. She gets ecstatic! She rushes out the door and words aren't necessary when they meet. Her dream prince has come to get her.

Their kiss is passionate and long, with a perfect sunset on the horizon.

The End.
